The New School-West offers prospective parents and caregivers an opportunity to learn about our facility. You’ll meet our Founder, Roleen Heimann, to learn about our views on child development and our approach to education. A tour is the first step in applying to NSW.

 

You can be added to our wait pool by taking a tour and submitting an application. Signing up for a tour and attending will be followed up with an application via email.

 

There is a $30 processing fee. You will hear of acceptance or continued wait pool status in February of the year your child would qualify to attend. We accept children when they are 3 by September. The school year begins in August. We keep our wait pools until the child is of kindergarten age, so please update us with any changes in information.

Things to know to prepare for a tour

 

• Address: 12731 Venice Blvd, LA CA 90066

• Adults only

• Tours start at 9:30 and end at 11:30.

• Plan to arrive on time and to stay until 11:30. We will talk about our philosophy, history, and a bit about the specifics of our enrollment process before we tour the classrooms. There will be time for questions and answers after our tour.

• Street parking only. Check signs for No Parking notices.

• Application forms are given only after a tour. The non-refundable fee to apply is $30.00

• Be prepared to turn off cell phones, and wash your hands upon arrival.

• In case of rain, tours will be rescheduled.
